About Jeni Barton
Jeni Barton is a research-driven experience designer specializing in the arts and culture sector. In her current role as Executive in Residence for Creative Technology at ArtsWave in Cincinnati, Ohio, she explores how emerging technology can support the regional arts sector. Barton holds an MFA in Experience Design (XDMFA) from Miami University, where she now serves as a visiting professor of People-Driven Design. Her extensive career in the arts sector spans roles in curation, marketing, programming, and leadership, including more than a decade in public service at the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs in Wilmington, Delaware. Her innovative programs there earned her recognition as one of Delaware’s Top 40 Innovators and Achievers Under 40. In addition to her current professional roles, Barton volunteers as a portfolio advisor to visual art students at Butler Tech School of the Arts and coordinates community art exhibitions to raise public awareness for Cincy PHLUSH.
