Explore how emerging technologies can benefit the arts sector in Cincinnati, OH and support ArtsWave’s mission of fueling a more vibrant regional economy and connected community through the arts.

Select Accomplishments

  • Designed and oversaw a team to develop the first arts and entertainment app for Cincinnati. The ArtsWave App provides a comprehensive events calendar with interactive features and empowers ArtsWave donors to manage their arts giving and donor benefits. The app achieved more than 10,000 downloads within three months of launch.
  • Designed a mobile app with a 10-stop guided tour for the 2022 BLINK festival as an ArtsWave donor benefit.
Visiting Faculty for Communication Design,
College of Creative Arts at Miami University, Oxford, OH. 2021-present

Serve as the professor of record for courses in the Visual Communication program including Image, People-Driven Design and Design Career Readiness.

Perform market research to determine the appropriate messaging and channels to engage target audiences. Plan and oversee communication strategies that elevate brand awareness and activities that support those strategies such as content creation, communication design, staff management, and news and story writing. Professor of record for Theatre 200, a marketing for theatre practicum.

Select Accomplishments:

  • Created the first comprehensive marketing plan for the division.
  • Enrollment marketing strategies generated a 37% increase in applications to the division between 2018 and 2022.

Director of Arts Administration,
Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum, Hamilton, OH. 2015-2018

Perform leadership responsibilities for the organization including fundraising, staff management, programming, marketing, collections management and exhibition curation.

Select Accomplishments:

  • New programming and marketing efforts increased park admission by 32% between 2015-2018.
  • Created the Museum Galleries to add changing exhibitions to the ongoing display of the permanent collection. This created a dialogue with local artists and created new arts education and engagement opportunities.
  • Secured exhibitions for the park by notable artists such as Diane Arbus, Amanda Parer, Irving Penn, Robert Frank, KAOS, Boaz Vaadia, Mz. Icar, Chakaia Booker and Steve Tobin.
Director of Marketing and Special Projects
The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Wilmington, DE, 2005-2015

Develop, market, and oversee programming that celebrates the city of Wilmington, Delaware’s unique identity, culture and history. Curate exhibitions for the Redding Gallery as well as catalog and maintain the city-owned art collection.

Select Accomplishments:

  • Revitalized the Art on the Town monthly gallery tour. Over the decade under my guidance gallery participation increased by 74%, artist representation by 148% and attendance by 124%.
  • Helped coordinate event logistics and programming for large-scale festivals with up to 30,000 attendees.
    Created a lunchtime concert series during the Dupont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival to host local jazz artists. This enabled 50 local jazz groups to perform in the same festival as major names such as Herbie Hancock and Pat Metheny. It also exposed major artists and tourists to Wilmington’s jazz culture.
